Washington: Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry delivering a talk on "Pakistan's Place in the World" in a conference titled 'Pakistan Beyond Seventy: The Long View' jointly organized by the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) & Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
Washington: Ambassador Aizaz Chaudhry said that relations with the US are very important for Pakistan and this realization is prevalent across all segments of Pakistani polity.
While speaking at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Ambassador Chaudhry said Pakistan, for its part, has fared well in challenging & changing times. The country has defeated terrorism, economy is picking up & democratic process is on track despite challenges.
Washington: Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry hosted a reception for the participants of the Conference titled “Pakistan Beyond Seventy: The Long View” at the Embassy. Distinguished personalities from the US government, think tanks and academia were also invited.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Aizaz Chaudhry stressed the importance of the multi-faceted Pakistan-US relationship in diverse fields including, education, culture, economic, defense and security. He expressed hope for better and continued Pakistan-US relations for the benefit of both the nations.
At VCU, Ambassador Chaudhry also had the opportunity to interact with participants of Humphrey Fellowship Program including Pakistani students at the University. He appreciated such educational programs which not only exposed the participants to a global environment but also enhanced their capacity.
