A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan Washington D.C. today to mark 82nd Pakistan Resolution Day also known as Pakistan Day. The day is observed with full national fervor in Pakistan and abroad to pay homage to the vision of our forefathers and to renew our commitment to adhere to the guiding principles as outlined by the father of the nation.

Special messages of President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan were read out on the occasion.

Ambassador Dr. Asad M. Khan, in his remarks, felicitated all Pakistani nationals in the United States on the occasion of National Day. He paid homage to Pakistan’s founding fathers for their vision and sacrifices to realize the dream of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
