






































































Finance Minister gave a round up of his meetings with the global financial institutions on the sidelines of IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings 2019.Finance Minister apprised about the current macro-economic situation in the country. Finance Minister Asad Umar also responded to dozens of questions from participants on the state of Pakistani economy and government plans for the future. Towards the end, Minister encouraged Pakistani-American diaspora to take advantage of the new business opportunities and make massive investment in Pakistan.







Chairman HEC Dr. Banuri apprised the participants about the objectives and goals set by HEC to improve the higher education environment in Pakistan. He also shared number of initiatives taken by the Commission in improving the quality of higher education particularly in the field of research. He also appreciated the ideas and suggestions given by the participants to further streamlining the higher education in particular in order to make it more competitive.
Ambassador Khan stated that the Embassy of Pakistan will extend all possible help and cooperation in furthering the efforts of HEC with various educational institutions in the US.




















Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal spoke at the breakfast meeting on "Global security and geopolitical threats" at Capitol Hill that was attended by various US Senators, House Representatives and other senior officials. The Minister briefed the participants on Pakistan's successes in the fight against terrorism.
