Khan briefed the audience on a wide range of issues including Pakistan-US bilateral relationship and the recent developments in the region with a particular focus on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IOJK) & its implications for peace and security in South Asia.

Ambassador Dr. Asad M. Khan had a detailed interaction with editorial team of the Washington Times at their head office on 28 August 2019. Ambassador Khan briefed them about the latest situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir after unilateral decision taken by the Indian Govt, revoking special status of Jammu & Kashmir. This has given rise to a severe humanitarian crises. Ambassador called the US and international community ‘to do more’ by pressurizing India in order to end militarized curfew in IOK.
