Engel Statement on Attack in Lahore, Pakistan

Representative Eliot L. Engel, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, today made the following statement regarding the terrorist attack in Lahore, Pakistan:

“I am outraged by the terrorist attack today at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park and heartbroken over the senseless loss of life. I can think of nothing more cowardly or reprehensible than targeting children with violence. These attacks underscore the ongoing threat that terrorists pose to the region and to the stability and prosperity of Pakistan. I offer my deepest condolences to the victims of the attacks and to their families.”
