Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States of America, H.E. Jalil Abbas Jilani, who is also concurrently accredited as Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Jamaica

Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States of America, H.E. Jalil Abbas Jilani, who is also concurrently accredited as Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Jamaica, presented his credentials to His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen, Governor General of Jamaica today in Kingston, Jamaica.

High Commissioner Jilani conveyed the greetings of the President of Pakistan, Mr. Mamnoon Hussain and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to the Governor General, the Government and the people of Jamaica. He stated that during his tenure as High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Jamaica, he would work to deepen and strengthen bilateral political and economic relations and build upon the friendship that exists between Pakistan and Jamaica.

The Governor General pledged to extend his full support and the cooperation of the Government of Jamaica in this endeavor.

Pakistan and Jamaica have enjoyed friendly relations which are based on commonality of interests and shared values. The active participation of Pakistan and Jamaica in the United Nations, Non-Aligned Movement and the Commonwealth of Nations has contributed to the strengthening of these organizations.
