Ambassador Inaugurates Remodelled Consular Wing at Pakistan Embassy DC
Washington: This evening, Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry inaugurated remodelled Consular Wing of Pakistan Embassy, D.C. An impressive ceremony was held in this regard, which was attended by notables from Pakistani-American community and media representatives.
In his remarks, Ambassador Chaudhry underscored the importance he accorded to consular facilitation from the day he assumed the post of the Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States. He recounted different steps taken in this respect by the Embassy and four consulates including two conferences of Consuls General for improvement of consular services, launch of redesigned website with additional features on consular issues, rendering of consular services on holidays, designating dedicated phone attendants at the Embassy and all consulates for consular matters, and provision of various amenities at Consular Halls.
He reiterated the high importance of consular services as face of Pakistan’s diplomatic effort in the United States and implementation of service-oriented vision for public dealing by Pakistan Missions in the United States.
Ambassador Chaudhry appreciated the positive feedback from the visitors on substantive improvement in consular facilities and services. He also commended the spirit of service shown by the Embassy’s consular staff and those in the four Consulates of Pakistan in the United States. The community members and media also welcomed the steps taken for setting high standards in consular facilitation.
The Ambassador invited feedback to further improving services for Pakistani-Americans and other visitors.
