Ambassador of Pakistan Dr. Asad Majeed Khan participated in “Virtual Run for Kashmir” a humanitarian initiative

Ambassador of Pakistan Dr. Asad Majeed Khan participated in “Virtual Run for Kashmir” a humanitarian initiative that aims to express solidarity with the oppressed people in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The event was organized by Kashmiri American Welfare Association in collaboration with Pakistani American diaspora in Washington.

The participants gathered in front of the Capitol Hill and took part in 1 KM run in the area of National Mall to mark the launching of the “Runnerz App”. “Run for Kashmir” is part of a global initiative to create awareness about the atrocities being committed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK). The purpose of the initiative is to encourage public support for the Kashmiris by participating in global virtual Marathon.

Ambassador Khan thanked the members of the Kashmiri American Welfare Association and Pakistani diaspora for organizing the event. He said that this activity would help to show solidarity with Kashmiri people who are suffering from prolonged lockdown, fake “encounters” and continued detention of the Kashmiri political leaders in Indian Illegaly Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
