Ambassador Dr. Asad Majeed Khan hosted a delegation from Pakistan visiting the U.S. to engage in discussions on Digital Economy Issues

The Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, Dr. Asad Majeed Khan hosted a delegation from Pakistan visiting the United States to engage in discussions on Digital Economy Issues. The delegation includes honorable members from the Senate and National Assembly of Pakistan, honorable Judges and Officials from various Government departments.

The Ambassador briefed the members of the delegation on the current status of Pakistan-U.S. relationship. He highlighted the important role being played by the Pakistani-American community in further strengthening the relationship. The delegation was given a presentation on the investment and trade relations between Pakistan and the U.S with special focus on the IT Sector. The Ambassador particularly highlighted the significance of IT Sector as the driver for expanding Pakistani exports. He also emphasized the need to develop a whole of the Government approach to harness the enormous and untapped potential of the IT Sector in Pakistan.

The delegation, which is in the U.S. on the invitation from the U.S. Government, will engage with various stakeholders contributing to the evolving debate on digital issues in the U.S.
