Ambassador Masood Khan meets Advisor to Secretary of State

 

Sardar Masood Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States met Mr. Derek Chollet, Counsellor/Senior Policy Advisor to Secretary Blinken, Secretary of State (with the rank of Under Secretary of State) at the State Department.

The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen long standing relations between Pakistan and the United States. They agreed to give a fresh impetus to engagements in such areas as trade, investment, climate change, agriculture and health. They expressed satisfaction at the progress made so far and resolved to take several concurrent processes to higher level for decision making. The two sides also underlined the importance of high-level visits from both sides, later in the year. While celebrating the 75th anniversary of Pak-US diplomatic relations, the two sides would deepen cooperation for stability in the region.

After the meeting Ambassador Masood Khan said, “The future trajectory of our bilateral relations is steady and promising.”
