Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States H.E. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh Meets with American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee (APPAC)

Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, H.E. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, held a constructive meeting with the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee (APPAC) to discuss avenues for cooperation between Pakistan and the United States. The discussion covered a range of topics, with a particular focus on expanding opportunities for Pakistani professionals in the U.S. and supporting APPAC’s initiatives in strengthening community ties.

Discussions also focused on attracting investment to Pakistan in key sectors, including healthcare, education, IT, and skilled labor, under Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) framework. Ambassador Sheikh emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to providing facilitation and support for U.S.-Pakistan business and investment linkages, which could yield mutual benefits for both countries.

Ambassador Sheikh appreciated APPAC’s efforts toward shared goals for the welfare of the Pakistani diaspora-with particular reference to the Sister States arrangements between New York and the provinces of Punjab and Sindh in Pakistan- and assured them of his support.
