Government of Pakistan has stopped issuing manual visas w.e.f 1st February 2021. Please Visit NADRA Online Visa portal at https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/for submission of E-Visa application. Applicants must plan travel only upon receipt of a valid visa. Visa fees is non-refundable.Visa can be refused, or duration of visa can be modified by the issuing authority without assigning any reason. Issuance of visa is the prerogative of the Government of Pakistan, exercised through designated authorities. Family Visit Visa Category is only for Pakistani Origin Applicants holding US Passports along with their Pakistani Origin Documents such as Computerized CNIC, NICOP, POC and Pakistani Passport. Please carefully choose the correct category (Family Visit Visa, Tourism/Visit Visa, Business Visa etc.) from the online visa portal to avoid unnecessary delays and inconvenience. Please fill in all the fields of the online visa application form, including current residence address, local contact number etcbr> Providing fraudulent / fake documents will not only lead to rejection of visa but may also lead to blacklisting of the applicant for future visa. Applicants applying in Business Category are required to attach invitation letter from the company/organization in Pakistan and employment/recommendation letter from the company/organization in the US. Notarized Parent Consent Form for visa applicants under 18 years of age should be submitted in all visa categories.All common people and citizens of a country have ordinary Passports; and should select passport type as “ordinary”. Selecting incorrect type of passport will lead to the rejection of visa. Indian Nationals are not eligible to apply visa online. Kindly visit NADRA websiteto apply online visa. Please fill in all the fields of the application form, even if it is not mandatory. Providing current residence address and phone number is a must. If there is any technical problem with application or payment, directly contact NADRA by clicking on their Contact us option. Please carefully choose the correct category (Family Visit Visa, Tourism/Visit Visa, Business Visa etc) from the online visa portal to avoid unnecessary delays and inconvenience. The processing time is usually only between 7-10 working days for family visas (Only for Pakistani Origin Applicants). For other categories please check processing time on the NADRA. Please note the processing time for each category will start when an application is lodged after completion of attaching required documents. If the application is sent back for Review to the Applicant, the set processing time will re-start from the date of re-submission or completion of the application. In certain cases, the applicant can be called for in-person or video interview. Please provide in the application, a working contact number that is available during the day.
No, visa is issued online, and you will get a Visa Grant Notice online that you must print out. The Visa Grant Notice is your electronic visa. You do not need to send any documents to the Embassy. Providing fraudulent / fake documents will not only lead to rejection of visa but may also lead to blacklisting of the applicant for future visa.

Please follow the instructions in the e-visa application platform for fee payment. You will pay online by credit card (Master card / Visa Card) while applying for online visa. Please make sure that before submitting your application, your name, date of birth and Passport number is the same as written on your US Passport. It is applicant responsibility to make sure the particulars are correct and matches US Passport. If the application comes back to you for review in case your application is incomplete and some additional documents or requirements need to be fulfilled, then you have the chance to check your particulars carefully again, that is, name, date of birth and Passport number etc. Once the visa is issued, it cannot be corrected later, and the applicant has to re-apply for a fresh visa with new fees.

All common people and citizens of a country have ordinary Passports; and should write/select passport type as “ordinary”.

However, diplomatic/Official and UNLP passports are with special categories of people who are working as diplomat and Foreign Embassies/Consulate General/United Nation Organization, High Ranking Officials like Presidents, Prime Ministers, Governors, Ministers, Members of Parliament, Senators etc. Every country has different color of these special categories of Passports distinguishing it from the common citizen passports.

In case of selecting wrong passport type, it is not change-able, and applicant will have to re-submit fresh visa application. Therefore, please be careful with the selection of options and revise application thoroughly before submission.

Selecting wrong category of passport will lead to the rejection of visa.

Yes, you must provide a proof by uploading copy of one of the following documents:

  1. Computerized Pakistani Passport (First three pages)
  2. CNIC / NICOP (Front and Back)
  3. If your spouse is from a foreign country wants to apply for long term family visa: then following documents are required:
    1. Family Registration Certificate (FRC) issued by NADRA and duly attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
    2. Copy of your spouse Computerized Pakistan Passport /NICOP/POC
    3. Local State ID
    4. If your wife is Pakistani and you are a foreigner, then your wife’s CNIC or Passport copy having your name on her passport or CNIC as spouse is required.

For each child irrespective of age, a separate application must be submitted. Following documents must be submitted along with the application:

  • Birth Certificate of the Applicant
  • Parents Computerized Pakistani ID (Front and Back)
  • Parents Local State ID
  • Parents must submit Notarized Parent Consent Form for each child/applicant below the age of 18 years. The Parent consent form must be signed by both parents and must also have contact phone numbers of both parents. It must be notarized as well by notary. Parent consent can be downloaded here.
  • Do not upload irrelevant documents.
