Easter Day Celebrations were held in the Embassy of Pakistan

The Embassy of Pakistan hosted an Easter celebration event organized by ‘All Neighbors’ at the Chancery building in Washington DC on 27 April 2018. Community leaders from various faiths and communities, including youth and children from Washington and the surrounding areas, participated in the event.

On the occasion, Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh congratulated the organizers for arranging the event for the second consecutive year and sharing the common virtues of love and brotherhood among people from all segments of society. He underscored the importance of harmony, tolerance and understanding among the followers of different faiths in this age of rapid changes and increasing interaction among faiths around the globe.

Vice President of ‘All Neighbors’ Mr. Ilyas Masih thanked Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry and the Embassy for extending hospitality to the interfaith community members and opening the Embassy venue to promote interfaith cooperation and understanding.

Faith leaders led prayers and expressed their warm wishes for the people of Pakistan. A group of people who have recently returned from Pakistan narrated their stories of incredible hospitality and affection they received from the people of Pakistan.

The audience appreciated the sentiments of friendship and universal brotherhood expressed by the speakers and faith leaders.
