Ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani met Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee ( D, Texas) at the Capitol Hill

Ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani met Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee ( D, Texas) today at the Capitol Hill. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is the Chairperson of Congressional Caucus on Pakistan.

Congresswoman Jackson Lee welcomed the Ambassador and expressed a keen desire to contribute to strengthening of Pakistan US bilateral relations. She said that there was tremendous potential to further expand commercial ties between the two countries . Congresswoman Lee said that in her capacity as Chair of Pakistan caucus , she would like to create awareness at the Capitol Hill about policies of the new government and the opportunities in building an enduring partnership.

Ambassador Jilani thanked the Congresswoman for her consistent support to Pakistan and accepted Congresswoman’s invitation to meet members of the Congressional caucus to discuss a wide range of opportunities to strengthen friendship , trade and people to people contacts between both countries.
