Embassy of Pakistan launched a certificate awarding course on Pakistan entitled “Understanding Pakistan”

The Embassy of Pakistan in Washington D.C. launched a certificate awarding course on Pakistan entitled “Understanding Pakistan”.

The course, which is part of the Embassy’s Generation Next Initiative, is designed to provide interested young Americans and Pakistani-Americans a basic understanding and knowledge of Pakistan’s society and culture, economy, trade and foreign policy including a full round up of Pakistan-U.S. relations. A certificate will be awarded by the Embassy to all the participants successfully completing the course.

In his welcoming remarks, the Charge d’ Affaires Dr. Asad M. Khan underscored the importance that the Embassy attaches to reaching out to American and Pakistani-American youth to promote awareness and understanding about Pakistan. He also expressed Embassy’s strong commitment to making such initiatives a regular feature of the Embassy’s outreach efforts and the center piece of its efforts to build and expand people to people contacts between Pakistan and the U.S.

The course participants represent a wide cross section of the American private and public sectors including university and college students, US government officials, businessmen and entrepreneurs. The participants deeply appreciated the initiative terming it very timely and highly informative.
