Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, H.E. Mr. Jalil Abbas Jilani hoisted Pakistan’s National Flag at a ceremony organized by the APPNA in Florida

Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, H.E. Mr. Jalil Abbas Jilani hoisted Pakistan’s National Flag at a ceremony organized by the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) in Florida today. The flag raising ceremony was part of the Independence Day celebrations in the United States.

The ceremony was attended by a large number the exuberant Pakistani community members including members of APPNA and their families who traveled from all over the United States to Florida to join the festivities.

The national anthem of Pakistan was played on the occasion.

Ambassador Jilani conveyed the warm wishes of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan to the overseas Pakistanis on the Independence Day, which is being celebrated by Pakistani-American community with traditional zeal and fervor.

APPNA President Dr. Mubasher Rana thanked Ambassador Jilani for his participation in the Independence Day celebrations and greatly appreciated his proactive outreach to the Pakistani-American community.
